VertiGrow was founded in 2019 to provide hardware and software solutions for large scale vertical farms. Our goal has always been the same, to provide tools to the urban farmers who are actively making the world a better place. VertiGrow is part of a group that is working with the Ontario (Canada) government to introduce food education into the curriculum from grades 1 to 12. Our mission is to help fuel the urban farming movement by building best in class tools for the industry. Growing local provides communities with fresher, cleaner food, and creates jobs and entrepreneurs while keeping more money in the local economy. We see a future where urban farming is commonplace, and our mission is to provide best in class tools to the movers and shakers who are out there making that happen. We believe that urban farming can reshape food supply chains, keeping more money in local economies, creating jobs, empowering entrepreneurs, and improving food access and education. We believe that students should have the opportunity to not only learn about the food industry, but also get hands-on experience growing food in class.

Our vision is to see low-cost, low-tech, sustainable vertical urban farming spread across our cities, bringing healthy, nutritious food and unlocking entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. Agri Urb is an organisation dedicated to practical change in our communities through developing urban farming systems that anyone can use anywhere. Our flagship product is our vertical grow kit that enables anybody to grow produce in their backyards to large scale farms. We further aim to transfer food production skills and facilitate entrepreneurship and thereby employment opportunities. We further want to transfer food production skills as well as create new agribusinesses and thereby employment opportunities. Agri Urb has a range of products and services aimed at empowering people to develop a culture of growing vegetables, for themselves,their households and their communities. To address the need for innovative, low-cost organic urban farming Agri-Urb has developed a range of easy to deploy Vertical Grow Kits.

We are driven by the vision to minimise time, land, water, and energy used in food production. Through our passion for indoor gardening and the digital world, we created the idea of bringing food production directly to your doorstep and make gardening easy with technology and our know how. We believe that it is necessary to employ promising farming methods like the century old aquaponics and modern hydroponics and combine them with the most recent digital technologies available to establish an urban system of food production in commercial buildings, communities, in schools, and directly at home. Our path was set: an old, traditional path, equipped with new and modern gear. Very quickly we found more people that want to tread on this path with us.

At Vertum we design & build robotic farming assistants that help indoor farmers increase yield and improve environmental sustainability. Farmers utilizing our services can increase their yield by more than 25% while reducing emissions, water usage and wasted valuable minerals in fertilization.

We are a proud member of the Association for Vertical Farming (AVF) – the leading, global non-profit organization raising awareness for the vertical farming industry. As the effects of climate change unfold in front of our eyes, we are a new generation of forward-thinkers prepared for the challenges upon us today and advancing the technology and techniques necessary to secure fresh, nutritious food production in the decades to come. As the former Vice-President of Business Development at ZipGrow, our CEO leads the Sales and Partner Relationship Team. With experience in growing, product innovation and design, Eric leads our partner selection, technology assessments, and FaaS business models. Eric is a serial entrepreneur with three AgTech startups exited prior to founding Cultivatd. We’re indoor farmers that operate our own farms as well as investment farms on behalf of our clients.
