Beertjie

Beertjie provides products to over 200 shops and stores in the Western and Eastern Cape with shops as far as Springbok, Beaufort West and St. We are proud to bring you the taste of home. After the financial recession in 2008, banks were hesitant to provide cash for start-ups, but Beer Beskuit CC eventually found a private investment partner. We take the time to sprout the grains in most all of our products to release nutrients that would otherwise remain dormant. Western Cape Milling SA (Pty) Ltd manufactures flour from locally grown GMO Free Wheat using mill stones to grind the endosperm into quality unbleached stone-ground wheaten flour.

At our heart we are still a small family run business with an undeniably strong love of dough! We produce bread, buns and pastries that we are sure would make our forefathers (and mothers!) proud. We deliver wholesale bread, buns and pastries to businesses in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. Back in the early days, bread was delivered by horse and cart from the small Brewham shop. We continue the baking tradition whilst constantly innovating and adding exciting new products to our range. Today you can find our products a plenty in many local independent food retailers, restaurants and markets. Our extensive product range meets much of the region’s retail and catering needs. On a local level, we provide employment in a rural community where the opportunities can be limited.
