Ranging from ONU to BNG, we provide network access components which can be deployed individually or in any combination. Based on long-standing experience in the areas of telecommunication and data center networking, BISDN focuses on high-performance whitebox switching and open network software solutions. For system integrators, we license and brand our software as well as offer adaptation of existing control interfaces to our controller. In addition to our software products, we offer both, industry-leading consultancy services for a smooth integration into existing networks and professional software maintenance. This release upgrades FRR to version 0.9 and provides an extended set of packages available via opkg post installation. We combine the ease-of-use of Linux networking with SDN and state-of-the-art packet processing platforms. For this purpose we have open sourced our whitebox operating system BISDN Linux, our Intel-DPDK-based soft switch, and our Revised OpenFlow Library (rofl), which facilitates the development of controllers and datapath elements. Roflcommon is a C++ library offering a generic OpenFlow endpoint, while Rofl-datapath is an ANSI-C implementation of an OpenFlow pipeline.

ONF’s CORD is a complete integrated platform that can be used to transform the edge into an agile service delivery platform enabling operators to deliver innovative next-generation services. Mininet open source is a widely used virtual test bed and development environment specifically designed for SDN which can be used on any laptop or PC. Open Information Modeling and Tooling (OIMT) is a project targeted at evolving open information models and associated open source tooling software that guides development of SDN platform frameworks and interfaces used to control, manage and orchestrate SDN Networks. Open Transport Configuration and Control (OTCC) is a project to promote common configuration and control interfaces for transport networks in SDN using open source software and software-defined standards. XOS is an integral component of CORD and is a model-based platform for assembling, controlling, and creating services. After an incredible 13 year run over which time ONF has built and launched numerous open source projects into the ecosystem, the ONF has now graduated the work into independent projects hosted by the Linux Foundation (read the press release). The ONF’s existing Technical Steering Teams (TSTs) leading each project will continue to guide the technical work.

We deliver integrated networking solutions that solve our clients’ challenges and create value for their end-users. Disaggregation and virtualization were born in the cloud driven by large cloud providers that disaggregated their data center hardware and software, and adopted the use of whitebox and COTS hardware. This model lowered their cost, enabled them to expand their service offerings and allowed them to scale. This same proven and effective model is available for mobile operators, internet service providers and enterprises. This model delivers multiple benefits such as cost savings, improved scalability, no vendor lock-in, efficiency and operational simplicity. Our team is made of experts in IP Networking, transmission, DevOps and Automation with years of experience working for large service providers, OEMs, system integrators and enterprises. Our team designs and delivers integrated networking solutions by leveraging best-of breed software and hardware solutions from an ecosystem of vendors providing open, disaggregated and cost-effective technology.
