Bridwey started in 1983 when by two engineers one from Bridport (Broadchurch fame), the other a turner from Weymouth left Vickers the local torpedo plant and hired a shed on the Granby Industrial Estate in Weymouth. The Bridwey team ethos is to encourage growth of our employees, our plant is actually managed by a former apprentice, our milling section is almost totally operated by staff trained or apprenticed at Bridwey. We manufacture all the metalwork for a prestigious international client, these are assembled and used for International military training, we have been developing these with our client for the past 9 years and have got planned purchases going through for the next 20 years. We manufacture all the hardware for a World leading manufacturer of medical equipment, the assembly is already approved for European sales and is now going through FDA approval, this in turn will lead to increased machine sales. Bridwey is a fast reaction CNC machining company with a modern precision engineering plant in Dorset, UK. We provide quality well priced precision machined parts and assemblies to all industries. We manufacture development and test equipment as well as mechanical handling equipment for a major European aircraft engine manufacturer. We manufacture hardware for sub-sea measuring equipment, for ROV and UAV as well as parts and fixtures for racing yachts.
