Green Roof Solutions was founded in 2005 with the goal of bringing high-quality green roof materials and components to the market in the United States to support the then young American green roof industry. Early on, green roofs were built using materials that were shipped over from Europe, because products were not available within the United States. We are proud to say that in the past seven years, we have grown to provide primarily American-made products throughout North America and beyond. We are focused on quality, and we are confident that we have the best products available for green roofs, living walls, and other green building products. Our main facility is located in the Chicago area in order to be centrally located for efficient distribution of our products.

GRO members positively contribute to the delivery of living green roofs that support nature, provide amenity, attenuate rainwater and generate solar energy, helping ensure no roof goes unused. GRO represents all elements of the UK green roof industry including manufacturers of waterproofing and green roofing, suppliers of green roof systems and components, specialist contractors from the roofing and landscape sectors, and associates including other trade associations, NGO’s, insurance companies, academia, ecologists, designers and architects. The Green Roof Organisation was established in 2008 in response to the demand for UK relevant guidance for the increasing number of green roofs being specified in the UK. A collaborative production that brought manufacturers, trade associations, non-profit organisations, Government Organisation’s and independent experts together the ‘GRO Code’ truly reflected the green roof industry of the time.
