Born on the Hudson River just north of New York City, I was raised in a number of homes by three loving moms and two kindhearted dads, with a multitude of wonderful siblings. Collecting my first paycheck for a creative endeavor when I was just five years old ($5 for first place in a newspaper coloring contest!) I have continued to pursue a living making things understandable and delightful. After attending Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, I began my career at Janet Odgis + Company, a boutique design firm, working with world-class brands including Alfred A. Knopf, AT&T, Champion International Paper Company, Condé Nast, Estée Lauder, Ford Foundation, IBM, Julia Child, MetLife, and Museum of Modern Art, where my love of design language was solidified. After a few years, I co-founded the design studio Manville Bakacs Santana on lower Fifth Ave., continuing to work on a great variety of intriguing projects for outstanding brands including The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Credit Lyonnais, The Gap, and Macy’s.

Located in Northern New York, I offer freelance graphic design services from coast to coast. With an extensive knowledge and degree in visual communications, I provide a wide range of creative services for the likes of individuals, small business professionals, non for profits, and corporate enterprises.

I eventually landed a position as a graphic designer and have spent the past 25+ years developing my skills in print and web design, branding, identity development, art direction, and design strategy. I was the Creative Director for a web development company for several years before starting my own design and branding agency in 2016. As a designer and brand specialist, I focus on helping businesses be clear, strong, and consistent in their visual communication. I'm not a native Rhode Islander but I've lived here long enough that I now give directions by where landmarks used to be. My wife, also a RISD grad, and I live in Providence and spend weekends indulging in our passions: yard sales and historical re-enactment as pirates.

I’m a Chilean-born Swedish director, animator and designer living in Brooklyn, NY. I love to mix different colorful styles and techniques to make all kinds of projects for both big and small clients. Growing up in Sweden in the 80s/90s, I spent long hours making ugly desktop backgrounds on my computer. Luckily, I stumbled upon a graphic design school which eventually led me to an amazing experience studying at Hyper Island. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work with some of my favorite studios and heroes from all around the world.
