Enticing seafood from some of the area’s finest chefs were on the menu at the Seafood Soirée fundraiser to benefit the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center held July 18th at the James Arnold Mansion in New Bedford. Eastern Fisheries’ Master Chef George Karousos, with help from Commodity Sales Manager Rob Rizzo and H.R. Director Amy Gemmell, sauteed North Atlantic sea scallops with an herb spread and veggie slaw and a baked scallop and codfish casserole to more than 150 guests. “The Fishing Heritage Center has an important mission and we are happy to support the work they do in telling and preserving the story of the fishing industry,” said Eastern Fisheries’ Commodity Sales Manager Rob Rizzo.
