EdgeX Data Centers was founded by a seasoned team of data center executives with over 75 years of collective experience building, owning, maintaining, and operating dozens of world class facilities across the U.S. These facilities continue to consistently deliver 100% uptime for the mission critical requirements of some of the best known global brands. The company is focused on providing wholesale, resilient facilities for companies looking to extend the edge in Tier 2 and 3 markets primarily for latency mitigation - in a range of verticals, including financial services, digital content distribution, insurance, enterprise applications, and others that share the requirements for uptime, scalable compute, storage, and content distribution. Edge data centers are becoming a driving force in improving the customer experience by reducing latency. Simply put, latency is the delay between a web user's action and the web application's response to that action - often referred to as the total round trip time it takes for that user's action to be implemented. These edge data centers are generally located in Tier 2 and 3 markets, which are traditionally under-served. Edge facilities cache content closer to the end-users in these smaller markets, which results in significantly faster interactions with the initial requests. In essence, by utilizing Edge data centers, a provider is replicating the same speed of service for all end users, not just those located near their mega facilities, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. Parsons is a life-long Oklahoman, graduating from Bishop McGuinness High School in 1984, the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Economics in 1991, and Oklahoma City University School of Law with a J.D. in 1995. Since 2012 John has operated Crooked Creek Capital, a private equity firm focused on real estate, technology and asset backed lending across the Midwest. In 2002 John co-founded and led Perimeter Technology LLC as its President & CEO, ranking in the top 10 of the Metro’s 50 fastest growing companies 4 years in a row as it became the largest commercial data center provider in Oklahoma, until its sale to TierPoint (Cequel 3) in 2011.
