Hygrotech was established in February 1984, and quickly grew to selling a diverse range of products into the South African Agricultural market. Since 2018, Hygrotech is proud to also be part of the Zaad Holdings group of companies. From Sahara to Teff, Hygrotech offers a wide range of high quality pasture seeds for all your needs. Hygrotech supplies a variety of FertAgChem products and is a leader in research and development of agricultural chemicals. Hygrotech is very proud to announce that it will be introducing, marketing, and selling the May Seed sweetcorn programme in Southern Africa. Hygrotech held their annual Farmer’s Day on the 10th and 12th March 2022. The varieties of the initial product range has changed over the years as Hygrotech evolved over time to keep up with the newest trends in agriculture. Backed by a strong team of technical personnel, Hygrotech supplies superior hybrids for all types of growers.

HABANERO RED (Open Pollinated Range) - Hygrotech

Habanero Has a tapered Lantern-shaped fruit with a wrinkled light-green flesh, that ripens to its unique colour. This open-pollinated range is ideal for the home and fresh market grower looking for something hotter than normal. New hybrid lines are available with better vigor and germination rates for the more serious growers out there. Red is a hotter strain, with slight larger fruit sizes than the orange and yellow counterparts. Slow germination is a norm and warm moist growing conditions is preferred.
