NBIS (National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden) provides bioinformatics and data science support to the Swedish life science research community since 2008. We provide a wide spectrum of services, including advanced bioinformatics analysis, bioimage informatics, data management, imaging AI support, systems and tools development, and support to national compute resources. NBIS is a national research infrastructure which comprises ~120 experts in different fields, distributed across six sites in Sweden: Lund, Gothenburg, Linköping, Stockholm, Uppsala and Umeå. NBIS constitutes the SciLifeLab Bioinformatics platform and forms the Swedish node in ELIXIR (the European infrastructure for biological information). NBIS is working in close collaboration with other SciLifeLab platforms and other national infrastructures, the SciLifeLab Data Centre, the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden (NAISS), and many other stakeholders and collaborators to create synergies and provide the most optimal services to the research community. NBIS offers opportunities for specialists in different domains of bioinformatics. We provide expert knowledge and bioinfomatics support, innovative data integration, advanced training, efficient data publication for open science, and access to high-performance data analysis methods. NBIS is the Swedish node in ELIXIR - the European infrastructure for life sciences research.

IBISBA is a pan-European distributed research infrastructure dedicated to industrial biotechnology. Moreover, IBISBA is designed to meet 21st century science and technology challenges, providing the depth of pan-European cooperation required to harness the opportunities offered by powerful digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence. In this regard, IBISBA helps to reach EuropaBio’s projections, which anticipate that Europe’s industrial biotechnology will grow to up to 900,000-1,500,000 jobs in 2030. We provide a single access point to integrated services for end-to-end bioprocess development. IBISBA is a pan-European research infrastructure dedicated to Industrial Biotechnology. We provide a single access point to researchers from academia and industry across the globe to integrated services for end-to-end bioprocess development. In doing so, IBISBA accelerates the production and translation of cutting-edge knowledge into innovation for biomanufacturing. The goal of the (IB)² is to bring together research groups in and around Brussels requiring bioinformatics and computational biology expertise. (IB)² is an interuniversity, cross-faculty (Medicine, Sciences, and Applied Sciences) collaborative space located on the La Plaine campus of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Increasing the impact of bioinformatics research by bringing together experts from different fields to tackle various (bio) medical problems with the aim to advance fundamental research as well as assist clinicians in helping patients. Enable interdisciplinary and interuniversity research collaborations in bioinformatics by providing a physical location for research, meetings, collaborations, seminars as well as high-performance computer facilities, including the ULB-VUB computing center. Our mission is to create, inspire and incubate innovative ideas in life-sciences. The main scientific focus of the institute is bioinformatics, an inter-disciplinary field of science driven by achievements in biotechnology and information technology. The fourth research area is the design of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). The results of our work are worldwide innovative technological and biomedical solutions. Some of them are converted into commercial projects that can be disseminated across the BioInfoBank network and developed through a spin-off program.
