Mechanical insulation is an inexpensive way to increase energy efficiency and extend the lifetime of a mechanical system. When installed by a trained Red-Seal Certified Journeyperson Insulator, mechanical insulation will eliminate frost buildup and condensation issues on cold temperature systems, including piping and ducting; this will prevent corrosion on iron pipes and eliminate mold/bacteria growth where condensation accumulates. Mechanical insulation will also allow for heat conservation within high temperature systems and also prevent injury due to burns related to contact with an emergency generator exhausts or steam piping. Mechanical insulation can save thousands of dollars both in energy and repair costs. Insul Fibre Ltd. holds a current Certificate of Recognition (COR) from the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) and has been COR certified since 2015.
