Klocke Nanotechnik

This page is the entry to a group of complete systems. The “Nanofinger®” sensor is a small MEMS device that detects the distance between a probe tip and a sample. Drawback of this technique is the limited stroke of only a few µm. This drawback is overcome by the patented Nanomotor: It has a positioning stroke up to some centimeters while operating with atomic resolution and thus builds a bridge over eight orders of magnitude, see its very small dimensions shown.

NanoScale Systems (Nanoss) GmbH was founded in March 2005 as a spin-off of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main/Germany. The company has more than 20 years of experience in software-control production of nanostructures as well as the market introduction of new product generations in the area of nanotechnology, microsystem technology, semiconductor technology, and surface technologies. NanoScale Systems GmbH is the leading and only manufacturer of force- and pressure based nano sensors using innovating 3D nano printing via focused electron beam. With our patented 3D nano printing platform nano3DSense, we offer equipment manufacturers in the medical sector and R&D groups a radically new concept for dedicated force, pressure and strain sensors with a wide application spectrum. We have invested more than seven years into development and research, perfecting the sensor production process using 3D nanoprinting down to the smallest detail and without compromises. Due to our independence from silicon and inert working mask technologies, we offer powerful and rapid solutions for industry and research, which do not only expand the application spectrum of today’s force and pressure sensors, but also fundamentally redefine it in many areas.

The history of NANOSENSORS™ is also the success story of Dr. Over the years NANOSENSORS™ extended the range of available AFM cantilever geometries. NANOSENSORS™ continues to exist as an independent business unit retaining its well known brand name. Both brands NANOSENSORS™ and NanoWorld™ now profit from Dr. At NANOSENSORS™ R&D and production form a close connection ensuring fast implementation of research results. We are providing the most consistent AFM probe quality, year by year, batch by batch, wafer by wafer, probe by probe and we are constantly working on new and improved products. NANOSENSORS™ introduces the MSS 8 Channel Readout Module (MSS-8RM), a basic electronic module to operate and to readout Membrane-type Surface-stress Sensors (MSS), up to 8 sensors simultaneously. The success of our research driven strategy not only became apparent in NANOSENSORS™ steadily growing business but was also publicly acknowledged by several prizes.

The company has been providing consumable support products for atomic force microscopy (AFM) for over a decade. The Nano eNabler system is a molecular printer that rapidly and precisely delivers liquids to surfaces such as silicon chips in droplets that are ten billion times smaller than a drop of blood. This unique capability offers researchers in industry and academia a practical solution to problems they encounter when developing ultraminiaturized devices and methods, and creates opportunities for further commercialization of nanotechnology. It is through our instrumentation success that we can pursue the third product focus; applications.
