Currently, MILabs’ imaging devices support the research of many hundreds of satisfied users worldwide at universities, CRO’s and pharmaceutical companies. MILabs achieved its first commercial success with the U-SPECT and U-SPECT/CT systems, which today deliver sub-quarter-mm resolution in-vivo images of radiolabeled tracers. In 2013, MILabs introduced VECTor, an extremely user-friendly, fully integrated multimodal SPECT, PET and CT imaging technology that provides simultaneously sub-mm resolution PET and SPECT acquisition. In 2015 MILabs launched U-CT, a best-in-class preclinical in-vivo micro-CT scanner, which provides unprecedented resolution, low dose imaging capabilities, and outstanding scanning speed. In 2018, MILabs launched 3D autoradiography and optical tomography modules for which MILabs again received the WMIC Innovation of the Year Award. MILabs molecular imaging systems are built in different base configurations to best meet the researcher’s application needs, offering exceptional performance, cost-effectiveness, and extremely high reliability. MILabs products are used in more than 65 countries and are supported by a global network of distributors and factory trained support engineers. We are able to transition seamlessly between translation studies spanning from imaging phantoms to in vivo murine models. We are glad to have the latest spectral (multi-energy) CT system which enables non-invasive imaging and quantification of various components simultaneously in small animals. We are fortunate to have the MARS scanner at HKU Department of Diagnostic Radiology with it state-of-the-art photon-counting detectors and multi-spectral energy capability. MARS Bioimaging Ltd (MBI) was founded in 2007 to commercialize the cutting-edge Medipix technology and bring photon-counting CT to the clinic. MBI has established itself as the world’s leading research and development group in spectral molecular imaging, and to-date has delivered the world’s first commercial pre-clinical spectral CT scanner. MBI works closely with customers to provide a wide range of spectral imaging solutions for applications ranging from cancer detection to development of novel contrast agents. Mark Figgitt is a highly respected executive and director with four decades of technology and leadership experience, including leading growth for health software, cardiology and radiology providers, Change Healthcare ANZ and HSTM Group NZ for the past six years. Professor Anthony Butler is a clinical radiologist with an interest in developing new imaging technologies.
