First Nestlé products to arrive in South Africa. The first Nestlé products arrived in South Africa during the 1870s, and the company’s presence in the country was formally entrenched on 7 July 1916 when it registered as a company. To meet the demands of a growing country, local production started in 1927 with the purchase of the South African Condensed Milk Company Ltd factory in Donnybrook and the Estcourt and Franklin factories of Joseph Baynes Limited. Condensed milk and milk powders such as Nespray began to be manufactured in Standerton. Some of these investments include commissioning a milk powder plant in 1961 to produce NESTLÉ NESPRAY and NESTLÉ LACTOGEN, launching NESTLÉ MOLICO - a low fat milk powder, and commencing the production of Sweetened Condensed Milk from fresh milk in 1965. In 1974 Nestlé Zimbabwe commissioned vacuum ovens at its factory premises to produce NESTLÉ MILO locally. During the same year, the company launched two new products - NESTLÉ EVERYDAY Milk powder and NESTLÉ NESLAC.

Although Nestlé products were already available in the Philippines as far back as 1895, it was not until 1911 when The Nestlé and Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Company was established in the country, with its first sales office in Calle Renta, Binondo. It continued to import products such as MILO, NIDO powder milk, MILKMAID and NESCAFÉ from other countries. Due to lack of imported products to sell, it was forced to become a distributor of peanut butter, napkins, fruit preserves, and patis (fish sauce) just to keep its operations going. In 1962, Nutripro’s first factory started operations in Alabang, Muntinlupa to manufacture NESCAFÉ. Nestlé now has manufacturing facilities in Cabuyao (Laguna), Cagayan de Oro, Lipa (Batangas), and Tanauan (Batangas) to meet the growing demand for Nestlé products in the country. The Company participated in this program with the production of breakfast cereals at the Nestlé Lipa Factory, for export to ASEAN markets. Driven by its mission to nurture generations of Filipino families, Nestlé today produces and markets products under some of the country’s well known brands such as NESCAFÉ, NIDO, MILO, NESTEA, MAGGI, BEAR BRAND, NESTLÉ, and PURINA, among others. Its product range has expanded to include coffee, milk, beverages, non-dairy creamer, food, infant nutrition, ice cream and chilled dairy, breakfast cereals, confectionery, and pet-care.
