EMI Filter Company, a division of Nordquist Dielectrics, manufactures bulkhead mounted low pass filters in threaded, solder-in, and press-in styles to the microwave communications industry. EMI Filter Company brought automation and lean manufacturing to filter manufacturing while others in the industry simply moved offshore. Our parent company, Nordquist Dielectrics, was founded in 1972 by Larry and Pat Nordquist for manufacturing and selling ceramic multilayer discoidal capacitors to filter manufacturers. Putting their life savings at risk, Larry and Pat started manufacturing in the back of their house. Larry built most of the equipment himself with minimal machine shop assistance, fabricating them from an assortment of powders all the way to the finished product. Our patented process allows us to provide the best lead times in the industry.
