OneNexus funds remain with the well through divestitures, are considered bankruptcy remote, and can only be accessed for decommissioning. OneNexus funds are held in an insurance company that is licensed and regulated by the Oklahoma Insurance Department. OneNexus has partnered with Munich Re, a AA-rated global insurance company, to ensure that funds will be available when needed. Through our innovative life insurance-like product, WellSecure™, OneNexus has pioneered a secure, sustainable, and prudent method of pre-funding plugging and abandonment (P&A) expenses.
