By 2009, SDNEF was running a successful soft skills and mentorship program for high school students and found participants internships with local businesses. SDNEF now focuses on the emerging workforce–community college and trade school students, and high school seniors–offering programs to bridge the life skills gap by giving them the knowledge they need to connect with San Diego employers. SDNEF also manages Operation Connect, a program that gives back to those who served our country. Our mission is to connect transitioning service members to business leaders, owners, and influential people in the community. Strategies for Success is a leadership certification program with complimentary professional development training on soft skills such as Leadership, Teamwork, Communications, Time and Money Management, and more.
