We are a life-saving international presence in areas of conflict and repression, and a powerful global advocacy network protecting those on the ground. Please note that we are not a funding organization and are generally not able to provide grants or financial support to other organizations. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider unsolicited volunteer applications. Founded in 1981, PBI has many years of experience working alongside human rights defenders, opening and protecting space for peace, conflict transformation and the defence of human rights in 14 countries. PBI provides protection and support to individuals, communities, movements and organizations that defend human rights through protective accompaniment, international observation, advocacy, awareness raising and capacity development. We currently provide protection and support to brave Human Rights defenders who are risking their lives in Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico and Nicaragua/Costa Rica. Through ProtectDefenders, PBI is able to provide a limited amount of support directly to HRDs in countries where we work.

Prepared International (PPI) is an expert organisation that was founded by experienced international disaster experts during the response to the 2015 Nepal Earthquake.

Research remains central to our mission, driven by a dedicated team developing global and national indices, calculating the economic cost of violence, analysing country level risk and fragility, and understanding Positive Peace. Central to our ethos is the understanding that peace extends beyond the mere absence of conflict. Established in 2007 by Steve Killelea AM, IEP has significantly influenced global narratives on matters of security, defence, terrorism and development. IEP research regularly features in leading international media publications including the New York Times, The Guardian, The Economist, Deutsche Welle, Washington Post, CNN, and the BBC. We have an exceptional team of researchers, country specialists, communications and peace experts and advisors working around the world.

Rather than an exclusive focus on disarmament education, the IIPE began to examine peace and violence more holistically. Since 2015 the IIPE has operated independently with a U.S. The International Institute on Peace Education (IIPE) is a weeklong residential experience for educators hosted in a different country every other summer. In serving the field, the IIPE operates as an applied peace education laboratory that provides a space for pedagogical experimentation; cooperative, deep inquiry into shared issues; and advancing theoretical, practical and pedagogical applications. The IIPE was founded by Betty Reardon in 1982. Humans of Peace Education is a joint project of The Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and the IIPE in partnership with the Global Campaign for Peace Education. The project is a global research initiative coordinated by the Global Campaign for Peace Education in partnership with several leading peace education initiatives, including the IIPE. Peace Knowledge Press (PKP) is a publishing imprint of the IIPE in partnership with the Global Campaign for Peace Education (GCPE).
