MicroElectrodeDevices.com is dedicated to serving new clients as well as former clients of Qwane Biosciences SA, a Swiss company which ceased its operations in 2019 and closed in 2020. Microelectrodedevices.com helps shape the future of research projects of fundamental research, drug discovery and safety pharmacology around the globe. We are also developing MEA-based solutions specifically tailored for applications in drug discovery and safety pharmacology. We provide unique MEA biochips with 3D tip-shaped electrodes that are best suited for monitoring of acute tissue slice preparations. We provide MEA biochips that are compatible with commercial data acquisition systems. The development and manufacture of Micro Electrode Arrays (MEA) devices or biochips began in the late 90s and it has become commercially available since 2001 through the company Ayanda Biosystems SA (2001-2011), Lausanne, Switzerland. MEA products were provided to Qwane Biosciences customers until the company had to scale down and eventually shut down. Current products in the market are Micro Electrode Arrays (MEA) for in vitro recording and stimulation of electrical activity from neuronal cells & tissue or cardiac tissue.
