Raspberry Pi Foundation

Pi Jam Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization (Section-8 under Indian Companies Act 2013) established in September 2017.We aim to equip children and educators of India with access to affordable technology and enhanced quality of Computer Science education. Provide access to affordable open source hardware/software that reduces entry barriers for experimentation and promotes global knowledge sharing. Along with the requisite hardware, we also provide a grade-specific curriculum, comprehensive teacher training and post-training mentorship to ensure optimum learning outcomes.

Pi was founded in January 2019 in Wales, UK. Pi applies proven techniques from the gaming industry, to the consumption of content & expression and comparison of opinions and views. We have been working with the Centre for Excellence in Mobile and Emerging Technologies (CEMET), which is based at the University of South Wales, within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science. CEMET are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government. We have also been accepted on the Welsh Government's Accelerated Growth Programme for promising start-ups.

We are grateful for the long-standing support of our Founding Partners, who have been with us since the very early days and continue to play an integral role in our work. We are a small but ambitious team who are passionate about education and the part technology can play in children's learning. The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to inspire every child to create their best digital future. We believe that an ability to understand, participate and work in the digital world is vitally important to a young person’s life chances. The Micro:bit Educational Foundation was founded in October 2016 with the aim of bringing digital inspiration to students worldwide. We work in close collaboration with Community Partners who deliver programmes focused on digital learning and creativity internationally. Ambily is a Director in Global Regulatory Affairs for GSK and joined the Foundation board in 2021. A former journalist and editor, Cerys currently works as Head of Content Production for BBC Education.
