Silcarb started its journey in the year 1982 as silicon carbide heating element manufacturer..37 years on, today Silcarb holds more than 90% of the silicon carbide heating elements (Sic heaters) business In India and exports its products to almost all countries in the world. Silcarb started its furnace manufacturing unit in the year 1999 and currently has upwards to 1500 operational furnaces in various fields ranging from high tech ceramics to foundry applications. Silcarb, in the year 2013 started manufacturing its high-density range of molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heaters under the trade name “MOSIL” in its brand new facility dedicated to the manufacturing of these heaters. Silcarb, in the year 2015 started its new plant for the manufacture of technical ceramics and kiln furniture. Silcarb manufactures, in this new state of the art plant various nitrides, carbides, titanates etc. Silcarb is an environmentally conscious manufacturing plant with an “employee first” principle and is an ISO 9001-2015 certified by UKAS and CE certified for all its products and as of date has a committed workforce of 150+ people. Silcarb Recrystallized has its manufacturing plant located in Bangalore, in the south of India. Silcarb believes in constant investment in the upgrade of its manufacturing processes at elevated temperatures of 2500 degrees Celcius, Silcarb also consistently invests in new equipment for its process improvement.
