So who are we and what do we believe in? Studio life for us is just as important as home life. We believe in a calm, positive, comfortable and slightly quirky environment in which we can flourish. Let’s face it, you’re at your best when you’re happy so we bring that ethos to our studio! Our amazing oasts are just like a big house and our teams like a big family.

It serves the varied day to day needs of our business and provides the setting for active collaboration with our clients and professional team. We believe that a healthy environment is a productive environment, and we believe that a social studio is a happy, creative studio.

Because of this, we are mindful to partner with clients that share our values and desire to build a better world. We are a hybrid team with an office in Spitalfields, London. We’ll make sure we are always moving in the right direction at pace. We are not afraid challenge our own beliefs. We are only as good as the work we produce and the results we achieve for our clients. One that isn’t driven by client deadline after client deadline but rather one founded on partnerships and trust. We move at a speed that drives the best outcomes, not the most deliverables. We champion and nurture our team, and we encourage a focus on personal development.

We believe people do their best work in positive energy where people have fun, genuinely care, do really good work, and think creatively to come up with original (and really cool!) solutions.

We are a company of thinkers, writers, designers & makers working together to create beautiful & useful things. We are based in a former pen factory in east London, and while our studio is no longer a factory, we are proud to be the sort of designers who are fully involved in making - in sourcing materials, and working closely with craftspeople, onsite and beyond.We have always modelled our approach on the values of the Arts and Crafts movement: its emphasis on natural rhythms and materials, and the goal of fusing utility and beauty. We are a team of multidisciplinary designers from graphic to experiential to digital working across different cultural outputs from brands, events and communications to bring cut through ideas into the world. We are also committed to using the most sustainable processes and materials and harnessing the most progressive new discoveries to bring the studio’s ideas to life. Through sticking to these principles we are now, thanks to our many global partners, spreading them far and wide. Here was founded in 2005, and is run by three partners, Kate Marlow, Tess Wicksteed and Mark Paton. We believe words have the power to ignite every project – creatively, commercially and culturally.
