Following several years working in the steel and aluminium industries in New Zealand, the UK and US, Derek Turnbull returns to Auckland and starts Tamaki. After 6 years of automation projects as a sole trader, Derek hires his first engineer, Steve Holmes. Tamaki Control Limited is incorporated in New Zealand. New Shareholders join and Roger Chan becomes a Director.
