TILHILL FORESTRY LIMITED

Originally established at Tilhill House, Tilford, Surrey, the company quickly grew and land was purchased at Tankersford Common. Still known as Tilhill and under the control of Booker, the company was merged in 1991 with the forestry interest of a group called EFG. In September 2015, UPM Tilhill was purchased by BSW Timber the largest sawmilling company in Great Britain whose foundations go back to 1848. Tilhill Forestry offers a full range of sustainable forest and woodland management services to owners, including forestry and woodland investment expertise. We are part of the UK’s largest forestry and timber business, BSW Group, and a member of binderholz – Europe’s leading timber processing operation. Tilhill celebrates 14 staff members achieving a ‘Long-Service Award’, recognising 20 Years or more working with Tilhill. Tilhill is proud to announce our Environment and Sustainability Manager Nicola Abbatt graduated with a distinction in Environment and Law. Founded by Archie Aitkins in 1948, Tilhill was originally established as a forest nursery and management company.
