Voltaiq was founded in 2012 in New York City by Tal Sholklapper and Eli Leland, driven by their mutual desire to tackle the numerous battery development challenges they encountered while leading two ARPA-E energy storage and electrification development projects at the CUNY Energy Institute. Today the Voltaiq EBI platform is in use at transportation OEMs, global consumer electronics companies, battery manufacturers and energy storage developers and operators. At Voltaiq, our mission is to provide the analytics that accelerate the transition to a battery-powered world. Our vision is to become the world’s most trusted platform for developing and optimizing batteries and battery-powered products throughout their lifecycle, enabling a world of safe, sustainable energy. We are bold, ambitious, and excited to accomplish something truly great together. We are builders and creators, making something big, new, and important. Eli Leland is a Voltaiq co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, responsible for the company’s Product and Engineering functions. Prior to Voltaiq, Eli worked at the CUNY Energy Institute as lead engineer on an ARPA-E energy storage and power conversion research project.
