The electrical performances of a Li-ion battery depends by the temperature and the applied external pressure. Climatic chambers are not able provide isothermal conditions on the battery while charging/discharging at high C-rate. MBTS provides a solution with an active mechanical press to control force and displacement and an active thermal conditioning with a thermal power up to 3.6 kW. This system guarantee that the cell operates in the targeted mechanical and thermal condition even at high C-rates. Investigations with this testbench allow to find out the mechanical and thermal conditions at which the cell operates at its best electrical performances. Among others, this testbench can provide in isobaric and isothermal conditions: OCV measurement, HPPC analysis, charging/discharging curves, custom electrical profiles and more.
