The Assembly Line Feeding Problem (ALFP) is a problem faced by production lines in which the production line must be supplied with the correct parts and components needed for the assembly process in an efficient and timely manner. The ALFP requires the production line to be supplied with the right parts in the right quantities at the right time so that the production line can move smoothly. The problem is further complicated by the fact that the production line may require different components at different times, making it difficult to plan the supply chain in advance. The goal of the ALFP is to find the most efficient way to supply the production line with the necessary components while minimizing waste and cost.
