Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) is a medical imaging technique used to improve the visibility of organs and tissues during an ultrasound scan. It uses an ultrasound contrast agent, which is a special type of ultrasound gel that contains tiny bubbles filled with a gas like air or sulfur hexafluoride. These bubbles reflect the ultrasound waves back to the transducer, making it easier to visualize the area being examined. CEUS can be used to detect and diagnose a wide range of medical conditions such as cancer, kidney stones, and other abnormalities.
