Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM) is a process where a three dimensional object is created directly from a digital model. This is done with an additive manufacturing process that builds the object layer-by-layer from raw materials, such as plastic, metal, or composites. The digital model is created using 3D software or scanned from an existing object and then sent directly to the printer. The printer then builds the object from the ground up, with no need for molds, tools, or even human intervention. This process offers a faster, more accurate, and cost-effective way to create complex objects and parts.
