Electrochemical grinding is a process that uses an electrolytic abrasive to remove material from a workpiece by means of electrochemical dissolution. In this process, an abrasive grinding wheel is used in combination with electrolytic fluid to remove material from the workpiece. The grinding wheel is used to cut material away while the electrolytic fluid helps to erode the material and remove it from the workpiece. This process is capable of producing very fine finishes and can be used to shape hard materials that are difficult to machine using conventional methods.
