Electron Beam Melting (EBM) is a metal 3D printing process that uses an electron beam as its source of energy to melt metal powders layer by layer to form complex geometries. It is a powder-bed fusion process, where the electron beam is directed to the metal powder bed by a computer-controlled path. The electron beam melts the metal powder, which then solidifies and forms a layer. This process is repeated until the entire part is built up, layer by layer. EBM is used for producing complex metal parts for aerospace, medical, and other industries.
