A high voltage line is an electrical power line that carries a higher voltage of electricity than a normal line. These lines are generally used to transmit electricity from a power generating station to a substation for distribution, or for long-distance transmission between two substations. High voltage lines are built with special materials and insulation to ensure that the electricity is safely transported.

Metrycom allows utilities companies to extract the value inherent to the Internet of Things by empowering them with continuous visibility over their high voltage transmission and distribution lines, while reducing maintenance costs and, increasing both reliability and safety.
