Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) is an additive manufacturing process that uses layers of paper, plastic, or metal to create a three-dimensional object. The layers are bonded together with heat and pressure. The material is cut according to a digital design, then manually peeled and stacked to create the desired shape. Once the shape is complete, heat and pressure are applied to permanently bond the layers together. This process is fast, inexpensive, and has low waste, making it ideal for prototyping and short-run production.
