„Molten Salt Reactor“

A Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) is a type of nuclear reactor in which fuel is dissolved in a molten salt mixture. The salt mixture circulates through the reactor core, where the fission process takes place, and then through a heat exchanger where heat is extracted. The molten salt coolant also serves as a moderator to reduce the speed of the neutrons, allowing more efficient fission reactions to take place. MSRs are typically regarded as safer and more efficient than other reactor designs, and are being pursued as a potential alternative to conventional nuclear energy.
