Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is a type of closed-loop thermodynamic cycle that uses an organic fluid as the working fluid instead of water or steam. In this cycle, a low-temperature heat source is used to vaporize the organic fluid, which is then expanded in a turbine to generate power. The exhaust from the turbine is then condensed, and the condensed liquid is recycled back to the evaporator to complete the cycle. ORC systems can be used to generate power from low-grade waste heat that would otherwise be wasted.
