Protein crystallography is a technique used to determine the three-dimensional structure of a protein. It involves the use of X-ray diffraction to measure the angles and intensities of the diffracted X-ray beams from a protein crystal, allowing the determination of the electron density of the protein molecule, and thus its structure. This technique can also be used to determine the structure of small molecules, such as sugars and nucleic acids.
