A Pulse Detonation Engine (PDE) is a type of jet engine that uses a series of pulses of detonation to power the aircraft. It works by repeatedly detonating a fuel-air mixture in a combustion chamber, creating a series of shock waves that travel through an expansion chamber and out the nozzle, providing thrust. This type of engine is much more efficient than traditional jet engines, and can generate more power with less fuel.
