Robot Localization is the process of estimating the pose (position and orientation) of a robot in a given environment. It uses a variety of sensors and algorithms to accurately determine the robot's position and orientation relative to its environment, allowing it to move and interact with its surroundings.

The Robotics & Mechanisms Laboratory at UCLA is a facility for graduate and undergraduate robotics research and education. Our research interests are in the area of robot locomotion & manipulation, soft actuators, platform design, kinematics and mechanisms, and autonomous systems. We are also active in research based international robotics competitions winning numerous top prizes .
