Bumblebee | Engineering Autonomous Systems of the Future
We are a group of innovators who envision building autonomous systems of the future. We design and build autonomous maritime vehicles capable of navigating underwater and on the water surface, performing complex tasks autonomously. We design intelligent systems robust to changing environmental conditions, achieving full autonomy with an advanced sensor suite and an array of powerful actuators. Our team comprises Mechanical, Computer, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students from the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) and the School of Computing (SoC) due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the project. Team Bumblebee was formed in the summer of 2012.

By leveraging on the benefits of both deep-learning and traditional computer vision approaches, we aim to to improve our chances of localising the different obstacles in the TRANSDEC environment.
