The CPGR has launched an accelerator program to stimulate the creation of South African start-ups based on Omics technologies. The CPGR strives to be a key driver in South Africa’s effort to become one of the leading bio-economies of the 21st century by being the Omics technology platform that provides solutions to African innovation gaps and opportunities in the development of a modern biotech sector. Moleboheng was the CPGR’s first NRF intern, joining the program in 2008. Aubrey joined the CPGR in June 2008 as a Senior Project Scientist and is now responsible for managing the Real-Time PCR service platform. Melissa joined CPGR in July 2022 as the Genomics Laboratory Manager and is responsible for managing the infrastructure of the laboratory’s activities, overseeing operations, ensure equipment functionality, maintaining suitable environmental conditions and coordinating the laboratory’s Quality Assurance in alignment with regulatory guidelines. The CPGR facilitates a seamless conversion of ideas into robust plans by employing an integrated framework for the design and management of genomic and proteomic projects. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation and use this Quality Management System to ensure outputs of the highest quality, always. The CPGR is a non-profit organisation providing state-of-the-art services in genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, routine testing, training and bespoke project solutions.
