Proton exchange membranes (PEMs) that operate over a wide-temperature range (-40 to 220 °C) without humidification. These membranes are primarily used for high temperature PEM fuel cells, hydrogen pumps, and supercapacitors. Bipolar membranes (BPMs) that have a low overpotential for water-splitting and that are stable at extreme pHs (0 and 14) and at elevated temperatures. These membranes are primarily used in electrodialysis, electrodeionization, and electrolysis setups.
