About - Osteotec
Osteotec was founded three decades ago with a single goal – to improve people’s health at every stage of their life, delivering products and services with integrity and accountability. While the solutions we provide clinicians may have changed over the past 30 years, our commitment to helping deliver the best patient care possible has never wavered. Osteotec founder Gareth Thomas launches the business in June 1993, opening our first premises in Christchurch, Dorset, later that year. Osteotec becomes the UK’s first specialist small joints distributor, partnering with Wright Medical Technology in November 1993 to distribute products including the Swanson Finger. Osteotec also launches innovations including the Osteotec Spring Conference, the industry’s first dedicated podiatry surgery event which runs for more than a decade. Osteotec grows and diversifies, forming distribution partnerships with companies including Ascension, Synerception, Integra, Arex and TriMed. Launched in 2007, the Osteotec Silicone Finger is a comprehensive solution for MCP and PIP joints affected by osteoarthritis and is followed shortly by the Concentric Bone Graft (CBG) System for harvesting bone graft to aid bone fusion. Osteotec continues to be the partner of choice for manufacturers including Polyganics and DJO and in 2013 becomes the exclusive foot surgery distributor in the UK for Zimmer.

aneXys - Osteotec
MATHYS aneXys Cup system The aneXys cup system is a modular uncemented cup option for hip replacement surgery. It offers a wide range of component combinations to accommodate the individual patient anatomical requirements and functional demands. The equatorial oversizing, in combination with the macro-structured, titanium-coated and porous surface allows the cup to achieve high mechanical primary stability. The porosity of the coating is up to 50%, thereby providing good conditions for the biological integration of the implant in the pelvic bone. The modular inlays are made of vitamys or ceramys. vitamys is a highly cross-linked polyethylene stabilised with vitamin E (VEPE). ceramys is a dispersion ceramic (ATZ) made of a homogeneous mixture of 80% yttriumoxide stabilized zirconia and 20% alumina and contains no other additives. Intraoperative flexibility in the selection of the cup (aneXys Flex, aneXys Uno, aneXys Cluster or aneXys Multi) and inlay (vitamys, ceramys) in combination with a well-designed, modular instrument set allows an efficient workflow with all commonly used surgical approaches.

CCB - Osteotec
MATHYS CCB Cemented Cup In cooperation with Prof. Maurice E. Müller, Mathys developed and produced the cemented M.E. Müller cup. Since 1996, Mathys has sold the cup under its own name (CCB). The CCB cup is a cemented monoblock acetabular cup made of UHMWPE with an integrated radiopaque wire. It follows the Müller philosophy. In conjunction with or without an acetabular roof reinforcement ring, the CCB cup is used for treating diseased hip joints in primary and revision surgery. The portfolio covers a full and a low- profile version and is available in twelve sizes. The CCB cup demonstrates good long-term results with respect to implant survival.1
