Polar Systems was established by Peter Gamble, a design engineer with a passion for developing new processing systems, in 1986. These attributes position Polar Systems as one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of food processing equipment. Today, Polar continues to invest in facilities to support in-house design, bespoke manufacturing and developing a highly skilled workforce through apprenticeship programs. At the core of Polar Systems, is the continuing development of existing products to enhance efficiencies as well as explore new automated processes across a wide range of industries. The inaugural design was the world’s first fully automated whelk processing line, commissioned for a local King’s Lynn seafood processing company. Polar operates from a 85,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility.
