RenewCO₂ is made of a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and MBAs who are committed to developing technologies to address climate change. Carbon dioxide emissions from plastic production contribute 850 million tons of CO₂ annually. These emissions directly impact climate change, increasing the frequency of extreme weather and disrupting ecosystems. To combat climate change, tax incentives encourage reducing industrial CO₂ emissions; however, industry needs a method to repurpose CO₂ to solve the climate crisis. These monomers can then be used for industrial processes to create carbon negative products. RenewCO₂’s Electrocatalytic Carbon Utilization Technology (eCUT) is a solution that consumes carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes (decarbonization).
