Solarkiosk Solutions designs, develops, deploys and – together with our partners – operates turnkey solar solutions and business models for off-grid frontier markets worldwide.Since 2011, Solarkiosk deployed over 250 solar powered kiosks (E-HUBBs) in frontier markets. Solarkiosk led operations in Ethiopia, Kenya, Botswana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, Jordan, and Bangladesh. In total, Solarkiosk employed hundreds and served millions with solar products, solutions and services.Our goal is to enable and empower rural communities worldwide. Solarkiosk worked with partners such as ABInBev, The Coca-Cola Company, MunichRe, Total, Siemens, Ericsson in incubating and piloting sustainable business solutions in frontier markets. Solarkiosk’s key strengths derive from the “E-HUBB”, our proprietary award-winning solar technology-design. Our success is based on the award-winning E-HUBB, a multi-functional solar powered “business-in-a-box”. It can provide energy and connectivity for productive use powering mini-clinics, schools, offering water purification, internet cafés and a constant supply of electricity to local entrepreneurs acting as a B2B mini-grid.Since 2019, Solarkiosk Solutions continues and expands the Solarkiosk legacy with paramount activities as a trading platform, a solar system integrator, a service provider and an incubator.Solarkiosk developed solutions for the humanitarian sector, mainly solar powered medical clinics and schools in refugee camps. SOLARWORLD stands for efficient photovoltaic technology, highly reliable deliveries and attractive prices. SOLARWORLD Africa’s partner Solar Age Namibia installed a solar electricity system of 21 Arco Solar modules on the farm “Erichsfelde” in Central Namibia. SOLARWORLD Africa’s partner Telecom Techniques installed their first installation of Siemens solar modules in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The German SolarWorld AG completes the takeover of Shell’s solar crystalline activities and founds the SOLARWORLD Africa. The office of SOLARWORLD Africa is located in Midrand, South Africa. SOLARWORLD Africa’s partner Servdes Solar supplied the largest infrastructure streetlight project in two provinces in Angola. SOLARWORLD Africa also designed and supplied solar powered television sets, so-called Sun-TVs, to enable 37 rural communities across Southern Africa to enjoy the FIFA Soccer World Cup games in 2010 and 2014. SOLARWORLD Africa’s partner ATI installed Africa’s first 1 MWp photovoltaic system for embedded generation on the roofs of a cold storage facility in the Western Cape in South Africa.

SolarWorks’s mission is to improve the lives of people who do not have access to electricity. While larger organizations like companies in rural settings or hospitals can be provided with systems as large as 15kWp solar panel capacity. These larger systems can often be provided incombination with a loan from a local bank.
