The University Securities Investment Team (USIT) was founded in 2010 by Forrest Wilkinson and Harvey Powers to address a need at UT for comprehensive investing teaching. USIT’s mission was and remains the engagement of students in an educational and interactive atmosphere that promotes personal, occupational, and academic growth through active securities investing. From general meetings to analyst groups to industry funds, USIT offers its members numerous avenues to learn and pursue their interests. Additionally, USIT provides interested members with supplementary training in quantitative finance and applied data science through its Quantitative Market Intelligence (QMI) division. Weekly analyst groups provide a small, collaborative setting for learning.
