Who is Bescy, and what do we do? Bescy hosts regional events around the world (online and in person). Bescy annoucments in a private WhatsApp communty group. Bescy is an all volunteer organization, with some pretty cool people. Bescy has helped develop the most comprehensive directory of behavioral science & design groups around the world. For over a decade Bescy (ex: Action Design Network) has promoted applied behavioral science around the world with an all-volunteer team. Bescy is designed to promote and engage the Behavioral Science community and many other audiences. What’s different is that we’re turning our attention outwards.We are increasingly promoting ethical, rigorous applied behavioral science and design in new areas, and helping people outside of our community to understand what we do, engage with applied BeSci, and do more with BeSci in their lives.

Eurobesitas Europe is a European non-profit association founded in 1993 that brings together 7 European countries with Switzerland (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece, Poland, Austria, Portugal and Switzerland). Eurobesitas works in an independent, multidisciplinary and cooperative manner. Join us at Eurobesitas, we will take your needs into account. Eurobesitas has developed workshops (Sobal method) to combat the dramatic psychological consequences of stigmatization on people who experience it. It is the cause of enormous suffering in children and adolescents. It also has physical repercussions and aggravates the degree of obesity as well as the associated cardio-metabolic complications.

BES was started for a singular purpose – to deliver real, positive, sustainable improvements in the lives of people in some of the most challenging, low resource and remote places in the world. We are not a normal company and if we achieve normal things, we have failed. We are passionate about empowering local communities to connect to resources they need and respecting their incredible skills. Making sure that we are financially sustainable is important but our goal must always be the outcomes of our projects – whether or not a project will make a profit is secondary to whether they will make a difference. We are serious about upskilling local partners and our software is free and open-source. We are flexible in where and when people work, we take mental health seriously, we recognise that people have lives outside work (and that those lives come first), we foster a nurturing environment where people feel safe communicating their needs – and when things get tougher, we provide formal, funded professional help and personalised support for life stressors. BES is B-Corp certified and all our software is built on free and open-source platforms, meaning the software code is publicly accessible and can be managed or modified by adequately equipped local staff should they wish or need to do so. BES employs staff across offices in Melbourne, Auckland and Suva, with project offices located in several partner countries.

BESG is in solidarity with communities to navigate a complex context, by supporting vulnerable sectors of our society in accessing and developing land, basic services, shelter, and livelihood security through the provision of capacity building, social and technical support, and promoting citizen engagement, with private and public sectors, in meeting their needs. BESG is a Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation based in Pietermaritzburg, the capital of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa. The organisation was established in 1983 by senior staff of the then University of Natal Department of Architecture and Allied Disciplines, as a support group that defended communities against eviction from informal settlements in urban areas. In the early 1990’s, BESG became a key player in shaping planning and housing policies from local to national level. BESG has developed substantial knowledge, including policy and technical knowledge on housing, livelihoods and tenure security. We are blessed to have secured funding and sponsorship from some of the most progressive and respected brands in Europe and South Africa. Since 1995, it has been a leader in enabling poor communities to access development and advocating pro-poor developmental policy. Over the last six years BESG’s has had interlocking programmes of Building Sustainable Human Settlements and Promoting Good Governance and Deepening Democracy.

We are a joint cooperation between BITS and the Norwegian Digitization Agency. We are funded by public funds and grants from the Banking union and operate as a non commercial entity where the only goal and mandate is to facilitate the adoption and usage of remote on-boarding providing a benefit to society. Our goal is to ensure remote digital on boarding happens for the benefit of society. We are sure that there are huge efficiency gains for society. Remote identification from the root of trust is applicable in a lot of scenarios not only onboarding to electronic identities. Bits AS is the financial infrastructure company of the bank and finance industry in Norway. The Norwegian Digitalisation Agency is the Norwegian government’s foremost tool for faster and more coordinated digitalisation of the Norwegian public sector. The leading Norwegian bank DNB has generously agreed to make one full time resource available as tech lead and the only full time member of the core team.
