Fontem Ventures was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of Imperial Brands in 2013, in order to invest in and commercialise Next Generation Products (NGP) with a primary focus on e-vapour. In 2017 Imperial Brands acquired Next Generation Product (NGP) technology and innovation leader Nerudia to complement Fontem Ventures capabilities and to strengthen its NGP innovation pipeline. Nerudia researches and develops new technology in the different next generation product categories including e-vapour, heated tobacco, oral nicotine and cannabis. As one of the world’s most recognizable vape brands, blu offers adult smokers’ choice through high-quality e-vapour products and e-liquids. It is the home of innovation and technology R&D for Next Generation Products (NGP) which includes e-vapour, heated tobacco and oral nicotine delivery.
