Good Food Oxfordshire

In its first year, GFO was run on a largely voluntary basis with some staff time and incubator support given by Low Carbon Oxford, Low Carbon Hub and Cultivate. In May 2021 GFO published the first Food Strategy for Oxfordshire, building on our ambitions to expand GFO’s work countywide across Oxfordshire. Our vision is that everyone in Oxfordshire can enjoy the healthy and sustainable food that they need every day. We are a network of over 150 organisations, including local food businesses, farmers and growers, institutions, and community groups who have all signed the Oxfordshire Good Food Charter demonstrating their commitment to change. Over the past year, GFO has been involved in FEAST, a 5 year programme involving 35 European partners which aims to make it easy for every European to eat a healthy and sustainable diet. After a public meeting, a steering group was formed to take GFO forward. Since then over 150 organisations have signed the Charter and GFO has delivered workshops, consultancy, and networking events for our network members.
