IONETIX is a cyclotron and technology company providing full-service radioisotope production and end-to-end radiopharmaceutical manufacturing solutions. IONETIX is actively establishing a network of ION-12SCs installed on or near the campus of PET programs across the country. More recently, IONETIX is leveraging its growing network of radiopharmaceutical manufacturing locations to support the development and commercialization of targeted alpha therapy (TAT). Founded in 2009 from technology born at MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center, IONETIX developed the world’s first commercial compact superconducting cyclotron, the ION-12SC used to produce N-13 Ammonia, one of the most accurate PET imaging agents for the detection of CAD.1. An emerging cancer therapy utilizing alpha radionuclides, TAT delivers high-energy alpha particles to cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment to treat cancer while preserving healthy tissue.
